About
StGermaine.ca is a business, online marketing and social media blog that started in late 2008 by me – Ryan St Germaine. The blog began as a creative outlet to share strategies with entrepreneurs on how to promote themselves through online marketing and social media. It was also designed to test new marketing ideas that I can use on my other sites – BCjobs.ca and Albertajobcentre.ca.

Who am I?
While I strongly believe that a person can’t be defined in 600 words or less, here is a quick bit about the work I do. I co-founded BC Jobs Online Inc. in 2001, a career portals technology company that owns BCjobs.ca and Albertajobcentre.ca. Since 2003, I’ve served as managing director of our company, responsible for corporate strategy, marketing, strategic partnerships, public relations and overall business development. Under my management, BC Jobs Online has grown to become the largest career site network in Western Canada. We have over 250,000 visits and over 1.8 million page views a month.
In my job I am sometimes a CEO, sometimes a sales guy, sometimes an online marketing guy, often a project manager and all of the time, a kid in a candy store. I love that my job is different every day and that my career websites help Canadian businesses grow and Canadians prosper.
More on StGermaine.ca
Anyone can start an online business today using free or dirt cheap technology. StGermaine.ca provides an outlet for me to share information on how to market a personal brand and/or business online. Get rich schemes don’t work, but I believe that if you work with intelligence and determination, anyone can build a successful online business. A great deal of my time is spent researching and implementing direct marketing strategies using online marketing and social media. I also manage a team of employees all working virtually and connected using online collaboration tools and a hosted VOIP phone system.
If you have an idea for your own product or service, my goal is that this site will help show you how to market those ideas.
I’ll also provide information on tools that can help you manage every aspect of running a business – web applications for marketing, invoicing, contact management, social media, blogging – you name it.
