Attract the eye of your audience and increase the chance of someone reading your post by adding images.
There are plenty of free photo sites that you can download images from. For example, the image I’m using on the right is a free photo from Stock.xchng VI. To find other free sites, do a few choice keyword searches on Google and you’ll find plenty.
There are an abundance of inexpensive paid photo sites out there to choose from as well. So, if you still haven’t found an image you like, you can look for them on sites like iStockphoto and Shutterstock.
In addition to photo sites, you can use logos from popular brands as long as you follow their policy. For example, you can use the Google logo on your blog as long as you adhere to their guidelines. View Google’s guidelines here.
Working with graphics
If you plan on adding images to your blog, you should also consider how you plan to re-size and crop images to fit within your posts. Photoshop is a great program if you want to do a lot of image editing, but for simple tweaks to images on your blog, it’s overkill. It is also expensive.
I’ve been using a program called IRfanView for some time and it does the job nicely for me. Better yet, it’s free for download!
