So you want a WordPress blog with your own domain name (mycompanyname.com), but don’t have the time or inclination to set it up yourself?
That’s where I come in. I can set up your WordPress blog in under 3 business days. Better yet, If you don’t currently have a web hosting account, I’ll do it for free!
How am I offering this for free? In order to help new bloggers and still make money, I became an affiliate of the hosting company I’ll use to host your blog. This way, I earn a commission from hosting when I set up your blog.
Note: Our free setup only applies if you don’t have web hosting.
Wondering how much web hosting is going to cost? Around $66 for the year including the cost of your domain name on FatCow. Don’t head over to FatCow just yet though. We’ll send you a link to their site once we start working together.
If you do have web hosting, I can still set up your WordPress blog, but there will be additional charges – normally $49.99. Please fill in our service request form and I will get back to you with a quote within one business day.
What’s included in your blog setup
- Install and set up your WordPress software
- Upload a theme of your choice and activate it. Want to see some different theme options? Visit the WordPress free theme directory or read my post on where to find quality WordPress themes.
- Set up add-on software (“plug-ins”) to improve search engine rankings, allow reader subscriptions, enable user interaction and protect you against spam.
- Teach you the basic in and outs on blogging such as getting into the administrative area, where to write the posts, how to add pages, and how to make your blog look great.
What’s not included
- Transfer content from another blog – My service provides you with a blog ready for you to put in new content. This is different from blog migration where I transfer content from an existing blog to a new blog. If you need to migrate your blog, fill out my service request form and I’ll get back to you with a quote within one business day.
- Personal tutor on blogging - With the service we provide, you’ll have what you need to get started. But, if you want blog consulting or you need business advice for your blog, that isn’t included.
- Tech support - I will make sure that your site is fully functional and provide you with a fifteen minute tutorial at start up, but keep in mind, tech support is not included with this service. After your initial setup, if you encounter problems with your site, contact the hosting company.
Relax. WordPress is user-friendly and straightforward, and once we’ve given you a quick tutorial, you’ll be well on your way to blogging like a pro!
